Chris Pink Trophy, 12th May. 

We had been promised thunderstorms, well they got that wrong - thank goodness!  We welcomed Charlotte and Rachel, two of Chris and Gill’s grandaughters, who presented the trophies at the end of the match.

Sue Pragnell and Steve Freeman gave us a good match for all the members who came to cheer them on.

Sue won 21 - 11 which didn’t reflect the closeness of the heads.

Alongside, the 2023 Men’s Pairs final was played with Andrew Morris and John Johnstone against Tom Boyer and Keith Gosden again the score of 10 - 20 didn't show the tight heads on a lot of the ends.

Thanks to Bob Everson who stepped in to mark the singles match and Steve Crockett for keeping the card for the pairs.

Again we were treated to lovely cakes, so thank you again to the bakers and those helping with the teas and the bar.
